They're full of excuses. The truth is Will Stancil lives the lyrics while the far left ironically does nothing useful but provoke a police state.
They also hate his celebrity status and that even right wing people are sympathetic towards Will because he's a genuine and non-violent guy.

this “chicago bail fund” and the entire network of newly registered bail funds are all scams. illinois made cash bail illegal in 2023 thanks to the incredibly hard work of many people, some of whom i know personally, so this is especially stupid

The Nuremburg Trials also didn't result in any worthwhile attempt at denazification, a couple dozen high ranking Nazis were put on trial and that was the end of it. I'd argue that those failures to denazify or learn anything worthwhile plays a role in where we are now.
