On Saturday, I saw a bunch of labor leaders (& Councilor Mitch Green) telling ICE to get the fuck out of Portland.
When I got home, I saw a video of Tina Kotek basically telling Eugenians to calm down after days of escalating ICE violence in their community.

Will Stancil spent 5 minutes doing direct action and now thinks he is THE expert. He got his feelings hurt because people with more experience see him as a liability - because he won't protect others' identity.

“Opsec” as understood on the movement left invariably means “taking efforts to remain anonymous and ensure no one can see what you’re saying and who you are.” But these efforts are illusory and completely corrosive to the goal of public resistance and open organizing.

Are you talking more like the Pearl or further out? I think every neighborhood needs to support its own commercial businesses. Downtown, for example, needs more residents (and more businesses for residents). We can’t depend on people leaving their neighborhoods to support others anymore

Yeah I lost count of the amount of children that walked past me trying to get away from the giant cloud. A legal observer and I helped some elderly folks make their wait out and quite a few other folks. PPB stood on a hill and just watched.
