6 insurrectionists who were pardoned by Trump went on to commit child sex crimes

My one real comment on the Jan 6 5 yr anniversary is that it was carried out by rich people. The poor hick stereotype is incorrect. It was rich people, suburban millionaires and their backers. We know this from who was arrested. It cost money to go to DC, stay at fancy hotels, fund this, etc.
Scores of now-pardoned Jan. 6 insurrectionists will gather from 11:45am for a march to the Capitol starting at the Ellipse.

One insurrectionist who says he's attending: Enrique Tarrio, who was sentenced to prison until 2045 until Trump intervened.

One of the takeaways from WARRIOR is that personal courage doesn’t mean being the loudest, meanest, “toughest” or most audacious.

SOMETIMES THE BRAVEST THING YOU CAN DO IS TO SIT QUIETLY IN YOUR POWER & LET THE UNIVERSE TAKE CARE OF THE BULLIES, LIARS & CHEATS.

The truth ALWAYS wins in the end ✊🏽

Dan D'Addario’s take on the new CBS Evening News is unflinchingly and deservedly brutal.

“… a Weissian willingness to bulldoze past that which might seem too untidy for whatever hypothetical viewer he and his editor have in mind.”

Good on him and Variety.

Now, one could say that it's nitpicking to have a go at Tony Dokoupil for his first-day fuckups, BUT:

Jagoff, you are the ANCHOR of a major news program on legacy media. YOU are legacy media!

After Venezuela operation, Trump haunted by his pardon for Honduran drug trafficker
Two Latin American strongmen were charged with drug trafficking. One was captured as part of a military raid, the other is free thanks to a Trump pardon.

Listen to the panic of this moment as #ICE shoots into her car with kids inside.

How can anyone think that this is acceptable?

It's absolutely repugnant.

#ICELawlessness is happening again & again.

Just about every attack is being done without warrants on innocent people by anonymous thugs.

If the DEA had killed 80 innocent Americans in the course of apprehending one drug dealer, there would be riots. But we are so ghoulishly indifferent to the lives and humanity of people abroad that it's barely even part of the conversation.
A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

January 6, 2021 was the most shameful day in American history. It should live in infamy. We will never forget it, and we will not let the nation or the world forget — despite the revisionism of Trump and his lackeys in the Republican Party.

Trump “pardoned convicted defendants who already had extensive criminal records for serious offenses including child sexual assault, rape, domestic violence, conspiracy to murder federal agents, reckless homicide, illegal possession of weapons, burglary, and possession of child pornography.”
Trump says he’s “pro-police” and “tough on crime”, yet he unleashed 1,500+ criminals onto our streets, many of whom assaulted law enforcement on J6. Since Trump’s pardons, they’ve committed:

- Kidnapping
- Sexual assault
- Burglary
- Death threats against elected officials

A reminder that, in the midst of everything else, the Trump administration is an incredible combination of entitlement and sloppiness.
