The Bucc is an orange series kit, and it's amazing that they crammed everything onto three sprues; no space for external stores. The Phantom was the more expensive red series (bigger box) so more room for goodies.

The Matchbox F-4 was great with all those rocket pods hanging off it. One of my favourite MB kits (their biplanes are my absolute favourites).

Same for Bertie. I think his job is "Looking after his people".

Not many parts, so it should be okay. Hideous dark blue/ electric blue/ white plastic in the Matchbox boxing. At least you won't have to deal with that!

I hope it was a good book. Although, as a scientist, I'd recommend reading cool science books.๐Ÿ˜„

Better than the rather boring two-tone grey of the actual aircraft!

Nice to see that grade inflation and "back in my day school was difficult" was a trope back in (checks notes) 1663.
To Paulโ€™s School, it being Apposition-day there. I heard some of their speeches, and they were just as schoolboysโ€™ used to be, of the seven liberal sciences; but I think not so good as ours were in our time.

And after nine hours, the basic camouflage is done. Loosely inspired by the Bolivian Air Force T-33 scheme. There's one bit to respray in green. The undercarriage is ready to go on. A few fuel tanks need a bit of paint, and the canopy frame needs painting. This will be tomorrow

engineers are in my experience absolutely the worst crackpots because they know just enough physics that they think they can make a contribution (or outsmart Einstein). They're the ones who come up with free limitless energy and suchlike.
