And here we are after overnight drying. Not too bad. Too transparent, if anything!

About 5-7 cm of snow yesterday. Rather less than was forecast, which I am very pleased about.

Tamiya 1/700 USS Fletcher (DD-445). The base is a 3D print. The surface is white glue to give a slightly bumpy surface. Leaving it to dry overnight.

The Bulldog trainer is almost finished. I did not quite pack enough weight into the nose, so it's a tail sitter. Sigh. There's a plastic prop holding it up, which is out of camera!

Amazingly, the 1970s Airfix decals are actually not too bad. I'm nearly finished!

The Airfix Scottish Aviation Bulldog is coming along. I've finished most of the paintwork, but there are a few bits to tidy up.

After about four hours work on the Airfix Bulldog the white and light grey bits are painted. There's quite a complex masking job to do on the fuselage for the red stripes (the RAF doesn't make your life easy 😄).

A quick distraction from the ship building. The Scottish Aviation Bulldog trainer. A vintage 1970s Airfix bubble pack, which takes me back to my youth. 😀
It's taken about 2 hours in total to get this far. Don't forget nose weight - it's a tail sitter.

Nearly all the bits are on the USS Missouri now, apart from a radar array.

Bertie is quite chill about his tarantula costume.

The USS Missouri is almost assembled. There are still a few plastic bits to add, plus the photoetched railings and fittings.

It was nice and sunny this morning, but a little brisk. I'll need my scarf tomorrow morning.

We have cheerful inflatable pumpkins!

I'm trying to get a photo of the USS Missouri model in natural light so you can see the dazzle camouflage!
#HistScaleModels Even in 1/700 scale it's quite impressive in size.

Adding a few of the very fiddly details. Magnifiers and tweezers highly recommended!

I don't think anyone does the decals for the dazzle. However, they don't look terrible to do with an airbrush. I might have a go. I'm currently building USS Missouri in dazzle. I'm weird.
