The pain and the outrage is correct and just and I'm glad everyone can see and understand it here, and this is also already what BLM was, if you argued for training, police reform or body cams instead of abolition this is what you sounded like, this is why people were so mad at you

It seems worse in the Twin Cities but this is how it felt in Chicago, too. I think they have escalated tactics since then.
I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness.

Curb cuts is perhaps the most famous example of this - it's for people in wheelchairs, but everyone uses them.

This is great. I think the whole idea of accommodation should rightly be an invitation to reject an ableist, eugenicist approach to the world and instead ask "What if we want to give *everyone* the chance to do their best?"

This is infuriating. My loved one is a male breast cancer survivor and I can only imagine the horror of having to worry about getting care on top of feeling isolated.
The Trump administration is rolling back benefits that required “reproductive cancer of any type” be covered for veterans, arguing that it doesn't apply to men diagnosed with breast cancer because male breasts are not reproductive organs.

One of my students did their CJ ethics midterm on the film Miracle on 34th Street and it’s so good 😆😆 Never have I considered the implications of this trial! This is truly why I teach.

It’s hard to convey just how much Chicagoans are mobilizing against ICE. Don’t want to downplay the harm, or make it seem like a fair fight. But in neighborhoods across this city, ICE is getting chased by people blowing whistles and shouting. People are running TOWARD ICE to protect their neighbors.
