Defense attorney would like Court to do a thing. I am objecting to that thing. Court needs to be emailed so we can discuss whether the Court can do the thing. It appears that Defense Attorney is expecting me to do the emailing. Bro can fuck all the way off on that one.

I've basically given this CLE...
I get that it’s a CLE and if it was too short I wouldn’t get my hours.

But a CLE on ChatGPT and attorney ethics should be someone saying “just fucking don’t” and then staring at the camera saying “seriously, no” every five minutes for the following hour.

Look at the studies of why women and POC leave academia mid-way through thus creating a "leaky pipeline. " A recurring reason is harassment and bullying of a sexual OR non-sexual variety while their institutions stood by and did nothing claiming it's too hard to discipline tenured faculty.
and you might think sexual harassment at work is about desire, or maybe a lack of boundaries

let me tell you it is about shrinking the pool of competitors

if it's a boys' club you only have to be better than the other boys to look good

I do not want to “Do my own research.” I want to pay trained accredited experts to do the research, trained accredited experts to report on findings, and trained accredited experts to make policy based on them.

I am busy af with my own job, I don’t need to do eight zillion more.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

Being a lawyer mom is fun because sometimes you have to text your co-room parent to re-schedule our meeting when you’re stuck in court and they don’t know what you do for a living and it leads to hilarious misunderstandings.

I’ve been trying to say this for a while, but I feel like no one is really listening to me who’s obsessively focused on the “groyper problem” at the expense of everything else. The issue with unhinged far-right streamers goes beyond Fuentes and the groypers. Things have been cooked for years.
There’s no daylight between what Candace says here about “the Jews” & what Nazi propagandists & Father Coughlin said about the Jews in the 1930s. Her show is one of the top 5 “conservative” podcasts in the US. She has 5.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 7.3 million followers on X.

This has not gotten much attention, but it should.

Virginia under Youngkin returned to an insanely harsh system where people convicted of any felony lose their voting rights FOR LIFE.

Dems' win this week mean they'll get to advance a constitutional amendment to end lifetime disenfranchisement.

Holy shit is this ever true. I had a colleague in one place who tried to fire people who talked about how much their bonus was. I managed to lie down in front of the bus and make that not happen, because even in the USA that’s illegal.
Companies like Rockstar rely on individual employees not knowing exactly what their collegues are being paid. What payrise or condition changes they got after a complaint or negotiation.

They always scream blue murder and panic when people start being open about it.

Pick-me anti-feminism is when women argue that other women are the problem because they have different political views, that they're one of the cool girls who doesn't even want the right to vote, and they're willing to take it away from other women because they have different political views.

I feel like this is an important aspect to emphasize, loudly, to everyone who endorsed Cuomo. they chose to side with a known sexual predator for personal gain and frankly that should be disqualifying for public office. you knew who he was and decided the women he hurt were acceptable losses
it's been a really bad long shitty time for people who care about victims of rape and sexual abuse, and those who've suffered it. drubbing someone who perpetrated it gleefully and believed he was entitled to power despite it is part of this.

At this point, anyone—a university, a law firm, a corporation, a Democrat—bending the knee to Trump is doing it because they want to, not because of any political reality.

A pro-affordability, anti-Trump-corruption message unites the party. Every candidate can run on that, and every candidate can have their own take to fit that to their constituents. There's really no need to find fights to pick when the party agrees on more than it disagrees
Came here to say this, but Jamelle Bouie has this covered. 👇
When the Democratic tent includes candidates like Spanberger and Mamdani, there is no crisis, or fight, for the party. IT’S A COALITION, NOT A POINT ESTIMATE.
i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
