Getting ready for a day without power. One of the perils of living out in the middle of nowhere is that no power = no water, because our borehole stops pumping without it. But at least we know in advance, so we now have a selection of filled jugs and pans everywhere!

Discovered in the 1840’s near the town of Aldborough, North Yorkshire, now on display in Leeds City Museum , a mosaic of the story of Romulus and Remus . Interesting looking wolf!
