The Washington Post published a clear video of federal agents removing Alex Pretti's handgun moments before he was fatally shot. There's nothing in the video to suggest Pretti even reached for his weapon.

I know we keep focusing on Colbert and Kimmel as we should, but we also need to remember there are hundreds of people who work for these shows who also just lost their jobs because of this bullshit, and most of them are probably not millionaires.

Kirk has always been a pariah to the left and there have not ever been attempts on his life until now. We didn’t want him dead. But someone with a lot to lose probably did.

Everything you see in these ICE raids is what happened to us. And worse the parts we aren’t seeing. If ICE is acting this way in public, if you know about slavery, you know how they are acting inside those concentration camps.
We can't look upon US slavery enough. We can't have enough stories of it. Black people shouldn't be the only ones carrying knowledge of its deep terror. They don't want it to be legal to know about. But it's central. You would never ask how the US can devastate in this or that way if you knew.
