My child learned to read the same way I did: I showed them old school Sesame Street and Electric Company. The 1970s ones. We both were reading before 3.
I'm not mad at people much younger than me for having less skill in reading than I expect. I taught myself to read at pretty much the same time I started talking. But our literacy method actually worked; theirs was a scam I am furious at.
But not them. It's not their fault. I must try to teach it.
