Facebook has reminded me that on 17th December 2022 I passed the milestone of 10 million views on Flickr. This year the number is over 12 million. Thanks all for showing an interest in drawings mostly of old stuff. Here's some of the "most interesting" examples.

The Erika Kirk v. Candace Owens feud isn't just juicy.

It's a sign that the MAGA movement is destabilizing, especially as Trump gets weaker.

It's also a story of how the GOP ceded leadership to greedy influencers, and now that's backfiring.

On Dec. 4, 1977, CBC aired an animated special called A Cosmic Christmas.
It was one of the first productions by a Canadian studio that later brought us Inspector Gadget, The Edison Twins and The Care Bears.
It also led to the creation of Boba Fett.
This is the story.

Charlie Kirk is about to be transformed into the Hatsune Miku of the right-wing griftosphere
I’ve thought it’s weird that Turning Point still had Charlie Kirk’s picture up as a featured speaker for AmericaFest (now just two weeks away), but it’s really weird that they’ve left it up after updating to add newly-confirmed speaker JD Vance.

The logic was simple, as one ex-Rationalist put it, “Yud tried to talk to people about AI, and they disagreed with him, and he concluded they were insane and needed to learn how to think better.”
The Radicalization of Ziz Lasota: How an AI Doomer Became an Accused Cult Leader

Lasota’s friends, colleagues, and family talk about how a NASA intern and Google employee wound up at the center of a bizarre string of murders across the country.
