I drew a face on a paper plate. Who could even begin to understand how it perceives the world or what it dreams of?
Researchers working with the A.I. system Claude have come to understand that the model’s selfhood, like our own, is a matter of both neurons and narratives. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/kEX1vV

SCOOP: Tensions at Palantir have grown in recent weeks over the company's work with ICE.

On Friday, CEO Alex Karp tried to calm concerns in an hourlong video that offered few specifics—instead offering NDAs to workers who want to understand how it's empowering ICE.

This is probably the Men's 2006 Olympics for the Women's Canadian hockey team.

Obviously much better than the 2006 Men's team and they likely medal, but only three players under 25. Half the team over 30. Not in crisis but they are in need of a refresh.

Does Greer think *all* of Canada’s GDP relies on exports? Does he know how to calculate GDP?

Historically, 75% of our *exports* have gone to the U.S. but that only ever translated into 17% of GDP.
And Canadian businesses are actively pursuing other markets. www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/36-28...

Bad Bunny’s performance began in the plantation, featured broken electric poles, and ended by centering a hemispheric understanding of “América”—among many other things—and some Anglo journalists are like “his performance wasn’t political.”

This is why we need to be telling our stories.

They also hate public broadcasting.

Every year, my in-laws watch the Superbowl. Every year.

An unremarkable fact save for the fact they hate football, along with most sports, and every year I hear the same line of "and even the commercials weren't that good."

White boomer culture has mostly become "things you just do".

Reporter: Do any of you have a favorite animal?

Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…

Reporter: Mr. Mamdani, the second question for you.

Mamdani: Yes. It’s also the golden snake.

Like is he going around upset because game didn’t recognize game?
