That's a trig pillar you wouldn't be too put out about being assigned.
Well, on a day like that at least...
Bore da / good morning! A welcome cuppa at the deserted summit of Cader Idris (893m) in #Eryri/#Snowdonia national park, with an incredible cloud inversion - a first for me ☀️☀️

Feast your eyes on this unit...
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

They twanged Tessa... 😱
Remember Tessa, our cuddly googly-eyed tessera?

Will she #TWANG further than a stone pine cone?

There's only one way to find out.

Today in "you couldn't make it up" news, with a sprinkling of "we're tired if listening to experts"...
NYC is on fire because Eric Adams took a hatchet to the Parks Department budget, firing 51 forestry specialists who remove the dead trees and invasive species most likely to ignite during dry periods.
Eric Adams's Budget Cuts Have Set Up New York City's Parks to Burn
By cutting the exact people meant to keep the city's parks free from fallen, dead trees and keep the forests healthy, the mayor has set up a tinderbox that's already igniting.

Do you think Ariel ate the scallops whose shells she wears as a bra or that they’re still in there and that’s how they’re suctioned to her boobs?

Boss: I meant any questions about the presentation.

I used to get a steady stream of customers to my online shop via Twitter / X. So perhaps deleting my account just before Christmas wasn't the most rational of acts!?

But I just couldn't take the negativity. Anyone here want to browse my shop? crownstudiogallery.myshopify.com #Art #prints #cards

Puddock hoal!
Never knew they had a proper name...
9. the surface was (before ploughing) interrupted by ponds, small and large, each surrounded by a low bank. They are called pingos. Like this one still surviving in Norfolk, they are remnants in the landscape of the ice age. (Photo freshwaterhabitats.org.uk/wp-content/upl…)

I was able to press & cut fabric into squares, for my next patchwork tutorial. 👏😍

I like to cut ‘chunks’ of fabric, large enough to cut the squares I need – but saves me from pressing too much fabric.

As some know, just back from holiday week. Perfect opportunity to run the Powershot through its paces for #ShittyCameraChallenge. Admit, was feeling a little concerned that I was being a little unfair - it had provided some top quality images in the past.
Oh. Nostalgic positivity it is then...
