First Teaser for Yuen Woo-Ping's 'Blades of the Guardians' Action Film
First Teaser for Yuen Woo-Ping's 'Blades of the Guardians' Action Film
"Once the blades are unsheathed, chaos is sure to follow." It exists! Well Go USA has revealed the first look teaser for a new martial arts action thriller called Blades of the Guardians, the latest movie directed by martial arts master Yuen Woo-ping. He's best known for the Drunken Master and Iron Monkey movies (and tons of others), as well as the action direction in The Matrix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and many more. This is his latest new movie since directing Master Z: Ip Man Legacy in 2018. Dao Ma, the "second most wanted fugitive," is entrusted by his benefactor, chief of Mo family clan, to take on an escort mission by escorting the "most wanted fugitive" to Chang'an. Starring Wu Jing as Dao Ma & Nicholas Tse as Diting, Yu Shi, Chen Lijun, Sun Yizhou, Ci Sha, Li Yunxiao, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Zhang Jin, Kara Wai, with Zhang Yi and Jet Li. From all this first look footage it seems like – yep we've got another certified martial arts banger on the way! Some exciting action scenes in the snow, in a Fury Road-inspired dust storm, and so many other places. I'm pumped to watch this in theaters! Yuen Woo-ping is still slaying. // Continue Reading ›

Well today was a damn good day of films at #Sundance2026. Everything lived up to expectations and beyond, felt like old Sundance days where you see something so good you have to pick your jaw up from the floor. This is why I keep coming back year after year after year here...

Ahhh man. I still can’t believe AbracaDeborah happened. I wasn’t trying to cause mischief! I was in line and bored and imagined a movie I wanted to see and assumed everyone knew it was a joke…
Enjoyed reading @scottrenshaw.bsky.social's lovely look back article at his 25 years of Sundance about 10 memorable moments in the Salt Lake City Weekly newspaper. Especially his shoutout to James Rocchi & putting the iconic Kristen Wiig's AbracaDeborah movie in. cc @mikeryan.bsky.social #Sundance

We cattos know there is a special kitty that hoomom has given refuge in our house. We can't meet Cookie until he's settled in & seen our vet. That could be a few weeks. We're ready for a new little brother, but, is he ready for us. 😹 Below zero temps over our weekend. Stay warm. Hugs & love 💤💙💤

Matt Damon is a cop with a beard who admits that he hates being a cop and we're not ten minutes into this classic. The Rip is one of the most War Dads: Dads Who War Good film anyone has made in almost a decade. This movie has a Farmer's Almanac in the bathroom.

My last note about 28 Years Later and Bone Temple is that Ralph Fiennes can do anything. What an actor. Handsome and charismatic enough to anchor a movie like Quiz Show, doesn't mind doing a 10 minute cameo in things like Hurt Locker and stealing the show, and is absolutely fearless about his body.
