Countdown Timer Promo for 'Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die' Sci-Fi
Countdown Timer Promo for 'Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die' Sci-Fi
"The revolution begins tonight!" It's the very last new trailer of 2025 for one of my most anticipated movies coming out in the first 2 months of 2026! Let's go! Briarcliff Entertainment has debuted a 30-second trailer edit featuring a New Years Eve countdown timer promoting their epic new sci-fi movie called Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die. It's dropping into theaters in February 2026 and it looks like a must see for any/every sci-fi geek out there. A man claiming to be from our AI-ravaged future takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world from technology. Fun critical commentary on Artificial Intelligence, computers, and how dumb we all are, with some wacky clever ideas following this guy from the future attempting to save humanity. Sam Rockwell stars as future man, joined by Michael Peña, Juno Temple, Haley Lu Richardson, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chandhry, and Tom Taylor. This is the first new movie from filmmaker Gore Verbinski since making A Cure for Wellness in 2016. It already premiered at both Fantastic Fest & Beyond Fest to rave reviews. Yep this is going to be a blast! Rockwell showing us how to save ourselves from tech idiots & AI stupidity. I'm all in! See you in 2026. // Continue Reading ›

Looking Back: Best Movies of 2025 Illustrations by James Chapman
Looking Back: Best Movies of 2025 Illustrations by James Chapman
"You know what freedom is?" "What?" "No fear." Another year is over, which means it's time to look back at the best films released over the last 12 months. Artist James Chapman, based in Leeds, UK, posted his Top 10 Films of 2025 list on Instagram - by drawing the cutest little illustration for each & every favorite film. I've been an avid follower of Chapman for a few years already (we also posted his illustrations for 2022 and for 2023 and for 2024) and I am a big fan of his artistic style. He draws and colors images in a notepad which represent his style and his favorite aspects of each film vividly recreated. They make me smile every time. Always so adorable, he really loves movies. Many of films are my faves, too (Sentimental Value and OBAA and Sinners and Train Dreams are also in my Top 10). A few of these seen below are also 2024 films that were only released in the UK in 2025 so they made his list this year (mainly Nosferatu & Nickel Boys). This year he posted images for 30 of his favorite films of 2025, but I've featured only his top 10 below. Click on his IG for even more. His mini reviews for each film can be read on Letterboxd. Check his Top 10 below. // Continue Reading ›

Patrick Dempsey is a Hitman with Alzheimer's in 'Memory of a Killer'
Patrick Dempsey is a Hitman with Alzheimer's in 'Memory of a Killer'
"Doesn't he seem a little off lately?" Fox has revealed the full official trailer for a new hitman thriller series title Memory of a Killer, set to launch on TV starting in January 2026. We're featuring this trailer for a TV show because it's yet another new series that's actually based on a movie. Inspired by the 2003 award-winning Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer (also called The Memory of a Killer), Fox's Memory of a Killer series is a dramatic thriller about a hitman with early onset Alzheimer’s. This stars Patrick Dempsey as Angelo, Michael Imperioli, Odeya Rush, Richard Harmon, Daniel David Stewart, Peter Gadiot, and Gina Torres. Angelo lives a double life as an assassin and a family man – which all worked out well until he was hit with early onset Alzheimer's. Now his worlds are colliding, putting his family in danger. He must stop whoever's coming for his family by searching his past hits for clues, and the list is very long. He'll hunt down his mortal enemy while carrying out hits without giving away his diagnosis and still making it home in time to cook dinner. Memory of a Killer is a redemptive story about a man losing his memory but gaining a conscience. This seems extra mopey and melodramatic, but hopefully it's a bit better than it looks. // Continue Reading ›

Thor Returns Teaser for 'Avengers: Doomsday' with Chris Hemsworth
Thor Returns Teaser for 'Avengers: Doomsday' with Chris Hemsworth
"Lend me the strength of the All-Fathers so that I may fight once more... Defeat one more enemy... and return home to her." Oh boy, here we go again. The next boring teaser trailer for this MCU everyone-comes-back legacy sequel. Marvel Studios has revealed the second of four new teaser trailers for the Avengers: Doomsday movie, arriving in theaters December 2026. There are individual teasers for many characters - this is for Chris Hemsworth returning as Thor - Asgard's God of Thunder, who has been off doing his own thing in other movies. This new crossover movie will bring EVERY superhero from two decades of Marvel movies together to battle the epic villain Doctor Doom - played by Robert Downey Jr. who also was paid enough to come back again. The massive ensemble cast also features Chris Evans, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, & Pedro Pascal. This one is just as dumb as the Captain America teaser. Up next is the legacy X-Men teaser after this. // Continue Reading ›

A tale of what happens when someone tries to... play God. This excellent animated short is now available to watch online thanks to Animatic, Short of the Week, and Studio Croma Animation. Playing God is a stop-motion animated short film by Italian filmmakers Matteo Burani & Arianna Gheller. It first premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival and also screened at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year. A clay sculpture comes to life in the darkness of a workshop, surrounded by strange creatures... Playing God made the cut in the first shortlist selection for the upcoming 2026 Academy Awards in the Best Animated Short Film category. The filmmakers introduce it: "After more than a year of traveling around the world through Film Festivals, we’d like to open a small window into how the short film Playing God was made. 7 years in the making for 9 minutes of stop motion animation, one of the biggest and most meaningful challenges in the history of our independent animation studio. With this project, we wanted to push beyond our limits, experimenting with the stop-motion medium without compromises, blending art, technique, & passion into a single vision." There's also a making of video included below. A must watch 9 minute stop-motion film. // Continue Reading ›

Tallulah Evans in Kidnapping Thriller Series 'Girl Taken' Official Trailer
Tallulah Evans in Kidnapping Thriller Series 'Girl Taken' Official Trailer
"I want to go home..." "This is home!" Paramount+ has unveiled the official trailer for a streaming mini-series titled Girl Taken, a freaky kidnapping thriller and survival story ready to watch starting in January. Another crime story to scare anyone who watches. Based on Hollie Overton's novel "Baby Doll", the series follows Lily & Abby, twin sisters living in a rural English village. Their peaceful lives are shattered when Lily is abducted by Rick Hansen, a respected local teacher who is well-liked in the community. Years later, Lily manages to escape. But reclaiming her freedom proves to be more complicated than she imagined: the world she once idealized has moved on without her. As Abby, Lily, and their mum Eve strive to rebuild their lives, the scars of the past resurface, especially since Rick remains at large, willing to twist the truth to serve his own narrative. Raw & emotionally charged, this is a gripping exploration of trauma, resilience, sisterhood, and the high cost of reclaiming one’s life. The 7-part series stars Alfie Allen and Jill Halfpenny as Rick and Eve, with sisters Tallulah Evans & Delphi Evans as Lily and Abby. Looks very creepy & disquieting. // Continue Reading ›

Holiday Teaser for 'The Rip' Movie Starring Ben Affleck & Matt Damon
"We got you something special–" "The gift of never-before-seen footage from The Rip." Netflix has debuted a Christmas Day teaser trailer for The Rip which will be streaming to watch starting early January (here's the first teaser). A new gritty action thriller from director Joe Carnahan - who also made another movie recently called Shadow Force. This time he's teamed up with Ben Affleck & Matt Damon together in a new film as pals. Though they're in trouble – caught between the criminals and cops. Upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops begins to fray. As outside forces learn about the money, everything is called into question — including who they can rely on. Carnahan says the film is an extension of the "cop film genre", adding that it has "a real-life component, a very emotional core, and a key question that gets posed throughout the film: Are we the good guys?" A.W.T.G.G.! Damon & Affleck co-star, with Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Adkins, and Kyle Chandler. Inside Look Video for 'Song Sung Blue' Neil Diamond Tribute Band Film
"The script was amazing. The structure. The character. The world. It's true to us." 🎤 Focus Features has debuted a promo featurette video for Song Sung Blue, the musical comedy based on a true story of a Neil Diamond cover duo rockin' the stage. This hits theaters on Christmas Day and it's a bring-your-whole-family kind of movie. Directed by Craig Brewer (of Hustle & Flow, Footloose), this is a fictional adaptation of the documentary film of the same name - about Lightning and Thunder, a Milwaukee husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute band, who experience soaring success and devastating heartbreak in their musical journey together. The uplifting film stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as Mike Sardina and Claire Sardina. They prove it is never too late to find love and to follow your dreams. Also starring Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, with Fisher Stevens and Jim Belushi. I've seen this and it's pretty good - enjoyable in the right ways thanks to Jackman & Hudson. This also has Craig Brewer talking about making a movie that everyone will be singing along to when they see it. // Continue Reading ›

Dumb First Teaser for Marvel's 'Avengers: Doomsday' with Chris Evans
Dumb First Teaser for Marvel's 'Avengers: Doomsday' with Chris Evans
"Steve Rogers Will Return in Avengers: Doomsday." Come on. Does anyone care? Why are they retconning their own movie from 6 years ago? Marvel Studios has revealed the first of four new teaser trailers for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, arriving in theaters December 2026 a year from now. There are four teasers for different characters - this is for Chris Evans returning as Captain America / Steve Rogers, even tough he hung up the shield & retired at the end of Avengers: Endgame in 2019. They even continued without him letting Sam Wilson become the new Cap in Captain America: Brave New World. This new crossover movie will bring EVERY superhero from two decades of Marvel movies together to battle the epic villain Doctor Doom - played by Robert Downey Jr. who also was paid enough to come back again. The full ensemble cast also features Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, & Pedro Pascal. This whole concept is dumb & so clearly a desperate attempt to make Marvel relevant again. I'm not looking forward to this at all. // Continue Reading ›
