Hi guys, did you already know there are competitions for window tinting? With better commentators than most of the tennis matches I’ve watched on ESPN? (Low bar I know)

Anyway if you need to procrastinate harder than you’ve ever procrastinated before, I got you

Attention fellow AUSTRALIANS! 🇦🇺

We now have an official petition to parliament to STOP MASTERCARD and VISA from its campaign of censorship, restricting what legal products we can buy.

Please sign it now, and if you're not an Aussie, spread the word!

Holy shit, and it's my birthday next week.
This six-layer stacked cheesecake, part chocolate, part coffee, is less complicated (one-bowl cookie layers, one-bowl cheesecake) and even more wildly delicious than it looks. I think it's got Weekend Baking Project written all over it, don't you think?

Good of the UK to do it before us to show what a clusterf*ck it is
The introduction of age-verification in the UK this weekend appears to be an unmitigated disaster. Anyone accessing socials now has to upload ID, scan their face or otherwise verify. The outrage is widespread and everyone is just finding workarounds.

The government has gone into defense.

As the temperatures finally cool in SEQ I'm starting to see the occasional knit pop up and am running up against how to figure out who is likely to be offended or pleased if asked about their knit. This morning it was a cabled vest on a gent at the local shops, if I wasn't already in my car....

My mom and stepdad are from the same diaspora group as Zohran Mamdani’s dad (same like “my stepdad was kicked out of the same town and knows some of his classmates”) and apparently the New York Times doesn’t understand how diaspora works, so I am going to tell you a little about my mom’s people!

I got permission to share this, and I'm extremely grateful for that.

The Onion got this letter from one of our subscribers in Alaska. She works with dementia patients and decided to leave a copy in the car for each one.

This email made my year. Read it and you'll see what I mean. People are good.

Democracies do not mobilize their military against their own people. Authoritarian states do. This is a war-footing escalation, intended to assert control. Massive violation of 🚨 civil liberties and🚨rule of law.

Today has turned out to be a part-mitigated shitshow, a definite improvement from unmitigated.

Planning an event for this weekend. After 3.5hrs of sorting out a spreadsheet of deployment orders last night a co-planner leant back in their chair and said "I'm feeling good about this now"
