People are going to die because of the pending insurance premium hikes. I know the terrain of discourse is inconsistent and goes through a tumble cycle every 24 hours, but I really think we need to hone in on this reality and drive it home for people.

idk the NYT called up ms rachel to ask if she was funded by hamas so i'm not sure the NYT exactly has impeccable judgment on what makes a whole news story
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

The goal shouldn't be a better New York Times. It should be making the New York Times as irrelevant to news as an airport sudoku book, because that's where their revenue comes from anyway (games and recipes).

As a reminder: these kinds of levels and exams are completely made up and typically children who go through traumatic events (earthquake, hurricanes, war) are considered to have experienced a disrupted education. We've given our children no such grace.
