Tonight’s art-making colored pencil class with Barbara DiLorenzo was inspired by Walter Stuempfig’s oil painting Still Life (20th Century). It was so much fun. Low pressure, big fun. These classes @princetonartmuseum.bsky.social are online, free & captioned in English & Español

I spent so much time focused on the outside of this little bowl, that by the time I wanted to smooth the inside, it was too dry to do so & it was time for bisque fire. Didn’t want to risk breaking it, so now I have a crumbly inner with a curved outer. I love it!

I have so much to learn about the science of glazing and how to create different effects. Hoping to take a class someday. But for now, I’m learning by doing & thankfully nothing has cracked or exploded or stuck to the community kiln! #pottery #ceramics #handmade #electrickiln
