I truly, truly get it why a lot of good people are saying that Minneapolis is not about left or right, democrats or republican, now. I understand. But I’m sorry it actually is

You can tell they know they’re losing because Pretti went from “would-be assassin” and “domestic terrorist” to “tragically died” over the last 36-48 hours.
Alex Pretti did not “tragically die. He was murdered.

There is lots of fun research on this but basically all secret police are stupid because to want to do it you have to be stupid and in order to be a good employee of this operation you literally need to be stupid.

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

Some of the protest signs are similar to anything else you’d see since the start of Trump 2.

Others are directed at the concentration camp guards inside.

Remember, per testimony before the J6 committee, Trump told officials to remove screening equipment at the Ellipse rally meant to prevent people from bringing in firearms.
In a new interview with WSJ, Trump is, again, blaming Pretti for carrying a gun, not federal agents for for firing theirs.

“I don’t like it when somebody goes into a protest and he’s got a very powerful, fully loaded gun…. That doesn’t play good.”

This is a turning point. Nobody wants what we’re seeing in Minnesota.

Speak up. In your workplace, in your community, in any forum you have.

Just emailing friends and coworkers and saying this is wrong is a powerful act. Expressing yourself to others. That is democracy.

Just don’t be silent.

This was just me making this comparison yesterday, but today the Korean news is calling Minnesota "America's Gwangju" and have human rights lawyers explaining how America is now living through the dictatorship Korea once had.
The Chun regime that my wife fought against in the 80s did the exact same thing. They needed a "crisis" that "only they could solve" to hoard more ill-gotten power, so they chose one city (Gwangju), declared its inhabitants enemies, sent trucks full of soldiers to violently attack and kill them.

I'm a fed who was materially hurt by the last shutdown and will be materially hurt by a coming shutdown. A shutdown will, imo, rally a base into believing the opposition party is willing to fight in a way that I previously did not think they were capable of. Worth it, to me, if that's the case.
