In a just world, the next time Hegseth talks about the “lowering of standards” for women, a reporter would ask him:

If it was so easy why didn’t you go to (insert selection or ranger school)?

Who could have seen this coming? Screaming at every other country for months, extorting them, telling them we are going to go after their jobs and economy bc it’s in our benefit to do so, and this is their thanks? Smh
The Canada-China relationship has been distant and uncertain for nearly a decade.

We’re changing that, with a new strategic partnership that benefits the people of both our nations.

Trump on Greenland: The fact that they landed a boat there 500 years ago doesn’t mean they own the land.

“For the families of Danish soldiers who died in the American-led campaign against the Taliban, their country’s partnership with the United States is not an abstraction. Denmark’s loyalty to America brought Sophia Bruun to Afghanistan, and it ended her life.”
“We have done so much for America”: Denmark fought alongside the U.S. in Afghanistan. Now, as Trump eyes Greenland, the families of fallen soldiers have a message for him, @isaacstanleybecker.bsky.social reports:
The Sacrifice of the Danes
After September 11, Denmark fought alongside its ally. The families of fallen soldiers have a message for Trump.

The thing is, since the 1700s Denmark has defended Greenland, and China and Russia do not have the capability to capture it even if they want to.

“What if she had something in the car?”

“The body/car wasn’t cleared, that’s why they couldn’t let a doctor giver her aid”

These dudes have mush for brains. It’s sad but dangerous
I'm seeing a lot of it. Dudes drawing on their mil experience 20 years ago to justify a police shooting that happened yesterday.

Self hating faux intellectual conservatives are the absolute worst. They truly believe they are making some high minded academic argument when in reality they are just finding the longest way possible to say “I hate myself and I am very dumb”

Bill Ackman discovers wealth distribution (from poor to rich) and does NOT like it.

Luckily for him, this famously only happens in the credit card industry.

Remember when Biden tried to forgive some loans? And people shit their pants? Good times.

Religious radicals who carry weapons and conflate their own sense of morality with the law in an attempt to gain power for their tribal affiliations

Now tell me who I’m describing…
We were told we were fighting them over there so we didn't have to fight them here, but then we just became the them.

Saw this video on Twitter and the MAGA comments are hilarious. Spiraling that someone with a Ranger tab doesn’t agree with them.

“Stolen valor” “probably a POG” “not in batt” “no way a Ranger would think that”

How big army and DOD responds + what their mission will be (actively deter ICE?) is going to be key

I know the gut reaction from the cult is to laugh at the libz and say it’s 4D chess etc etc

But I wonder what happens when he says he wants to give each Greenlander 500k or a sovereign wealth fund etc?

Sidenote: If Dems can’t run on that then I’m not sure they deserve to win
Q: Does the US intend to buy Greenland?

MARCO RUBIO: That's always been the president's intent

Heritage Americans who want America first (isolationist) policies and have live free or die tattoos want to know what’s the big deal with annexing another country and forcing their people to become our serfs???
TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force?

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

T: So force is on the table?

M: Nobody is gonna fight the US militarily over future of Greenland
January 6, 2026 at 6:55 PM
My cynical take is most won’t care/will like it -they will rationalize it

They think norms and international laws are fake but will be very upset when their passport doesn’t get them into every country or people stop buying their stuff. They want the status quo but forgot what got us the status quo
im genuinely curious if this resonates with voters. this naked appeal to imperialism from a shrieking, shrill man
MILLER: The US is using its military to secure our interests unapologetically in our hemisphere. We're a superpower. It's absurd we'd allow a nation in our backyard to become a supplier of resources to our adversaries

TAPPER: Sovereign countries shouldn't be able to do what they want?
