A lot of education discourse is at root an inability to decide whether the purpose of our education system is to 1) teach material and measure learning 2) reward students who work hard 3) separate the smart kids (destined for smart guy jobs) from the dumb kids (destined to serve the smart guys)

Americans don’t want to do the jobs of immigrants and want to denigrate higher education which keeps more technical jobs out of reach. we are destined for middle management…and that’s exactly what AI is meant to take away. Seems legit.

My dad got cancer pre Obamacare. He was dropped bc they said it was preexisting. Just 1 of his cancer drugs cost 30k for a few months supply. He died surrounded by family but also with only $600 to his name

You could get rid of all taxes/give people $ and it would still not be enough
“'We’re gonna pay a lot of money to the people. They’re gonna go out and buy their own health care, and we’re gonna forget this Obamacare madness,' Trump said"
Expecting to see a new product from Don, Jr. and Eric Trump: "Crypto Care". 1/
As health insurance bills rise, Republicans are still seeking an Obamacare alternative
Premiums for millions of Americans in red and blue states are expected to more than double on average next year unless Congress finds a solution.

Tax everyone, then give money back to people based on needs, in order to beat socialism. Nice work team 💪

Boomerbook crew is dead silent. These are dudes who post all day about Benghazi, Michelle Obama being trans, the Hunter Biden laptop, and also went batshit over some film called Cuties on Netflix. Not a word about the Epstein files though.

In a huge plot twist, the guys standing to make the most money from “innovation” and “lethality” love this speech.

Equal parts “I can easily work these chuds over and make that good DOD money” and “I won’t even need to work these chuds over and make that good DOD money”

“What’s the point of standards: a memoir”
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

I have, for fucking years, heard about this but with the same issue. Every time I ask whistleblowers to provide me with actual facts they go silent.
In a just world, the next time Hegseth talks about the “lowering of standards” for women, a reporter would ask him:

If it was so easy why didn’t you go to (insert selection or ranger school)?

A2E but for cops. Seems legit.
Force multiplier?
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."

It shouldnt be lost on people that his stated position is that he might move his company from NYC because of Zohran - and yet, he goes to the place that’s the political opposite of NYC/Zohran and falls victim to what he said would happen in the city he’s threatening to leave.

My one regret and piece of advice for young service members is; don’t think that you’re too cool to pose for a photo. You’re doing some pretty incredible things and you’re going to want to remember it.

Not sure what everyone is freaking out about? As long as you maintain a solid Social Credit Score (powered by the patriots over at Palantir) you should get a good rate. Plus Party members can qualify for Patriot Points for every Trump loan you get, good for official Trump 2028 merch
From the geniuses who brought you the 50 year mortgage over the past week may I present the <15 year car loan>
Once again finance companies will be thrilled. Just one thing, the average ownership length is about half that time and the average vehicle lasts 13 years on the road.

Random: Dems seem to conflate military policy with foreign policy or national security . The troops want better housing, DFACs, dwell time, quality of life stuff. They should focus on that.

I remember after the 2020 election, a certain congressman was talking about how the CIA director was killed in Germany during a botched election server op…I thought to myself, if they are willing to lie about something so easily fact checked what else would they lie about? It’s only gotten worse…
Pro-Trump media went wild for a bombshell exposé claiming the Jan. 6th pipe bomber was a Capitol Police officer with CIA ties.

But now the story looks shaky, tweets are getting deleted, and the story's backers are running for cover. My @thebulwark.com newsletter: www.thebulwark.com/p/the-blaze-...

When all the “targeting self-conscious young teen” ad money runs dry, you’re forced to do more mundane fraud.
TL;DR: A Reuters investigation shows 10% of Meta's ad revenue comes from fraudulent goods, with the company prioritizing profits over user safety. Despite some awareness and plans to address fraud, Meta's ineffective actions permit scams to flourish on its platform.
