It will never not be funny to me that the biggest contrarian reactionaries have the thinnest skin when it comes to someone holding a differing opinion or reacting to their statements. They want to be edgy outsiders but also loved by the masses.

Long term - and this has been debated long before this - what does it do to the political will to “do war” when we pretend robots fighting each other isn’t kinetic or puts lives at risk?

I think there’s also something to be said about contrarianism being a big driver. Democrats were the cultural drivers for a long time and young people can be contrarian just for the sake of it (not just young ppl). A decade of Trump could lead to them being seen as establishment and create backlash

There’s actually a decent amount of pushback…but the real issue they have right now is the fact he is open to H1B visas…pedophilia is one thing…but not being overtly racist? Unforgivable

I’m somewhat happy that people are feeling free to show their true colors. There’s a large number of people who’ve buried their heads in the sand about who I truly comprising their parties. My optimistic take is that they need to see this to hopefully finally take a stand
