And one of the first survivors to step forward to try to stop Epstein? A trans woman, who was promptly mocked and villified by the New York Post, New York Magazine, the courts and law enforcement.

It really is funny how common "military action in the near abroad to distract from domestic troubles at home" is in the authoritarian playbook

It has a success rate of like 5% and a backfire rate probably north of 50
so at what point does the president greenlight Venezuela strikes to take energy away from the new epstein drops?

This is why actually govt shutdown is a non violent way to force the issue. Kicking the can will make it worse in the end
The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Is it significant that many emails highlighted today are from a position of opposition to Trump?

I know that there was animus between these two, but gosh, it sure seems weird that the pedophile rapist king of blackmail who talks about blackmailing the president ended up dead in a federal prison.

All trump needs to do then is continue to disobey court orders and not fund snap unless Dems agree to whatever he wants. If providing snap benefits Trump's every other concern you can just pack it in.
…especially since the only sane humane folks in that chamber are in the minority and mitigating harm is their ONLY weapon right now against the sociopaths put in government.

In a lose lose- I think feeding people is always a win.

It’s shameful that folks are choosing to forget that.

Lol it's not good news for chuck if 50501 is talking like this.
It doesn’t matter if Schumer worked behind the scenes to orchestrate the cave, or it’s simply that he + Durbin are so weak that they couldn’t whip the Dem Caucus against it. Either way, he must be removed from power.

We are fighting fascists. We need leaders who fight back, not kneel to oligarchs.

I think Schumer has to go because the trust just ain’t there, honestly. Like, whatever your opinions on the respective matters, the Israel/Palestine thing followed by the Mamdani thing followed by this one right after another… We need someone who can unite the party somehow. IDK who that’d be.
