This is a good article. Which is rare when it comes to QLD politics, the political media class usually get it wrong.

The “gods country” comment made me smile.

The best thing about the AO is hearing Patsy Cline every ad break.

I hope it includes looking at councils who block livable apartments but give the green light to dog boxes.
That's why the Greens are having a Senate inquiry into intergenerational housing inequality. The Greens’ inquiry will interrogate the full scope of Australia’s intergenerational housing inequality, including the $181b tax breaks for wealthy investors locking out 1st home buyers.

Thankfully the increased taxes levied by the Victorian government on landlords is having the desired effect.

Melbourne goes from among the most to least expensive capital cities
Property analysts say a mix of economic conditions, policy settings and demographic shifts are among the reasons for the city's subdued dwelling price growth in the past five years.

This will be even more delicious if it backfires on David and he ends up being replaced instead.

Fed Greens could take this opportunity to sideline their brosocialst/dude-bro faction and step into opposition. Vic Greens blew their chance after covid heres hoping Fed Greens dont make the same mistakes.

I’m old enough to remember the Nats having a full-blown sook when Turnbull dared comment on Barnaby’s leadership after he knocked up his staffer. Now they feel entitled to comment on Liberal leadership. Funny, that.
January 22, 2026 at 1:09 AM
With the Nats knifing the leader of the coalition I wonder how long until the “CRINGING IN FEAR” dude makes his move on Larissa.

Pretty wild when fed labor are the stable ones 🫠

They also have the worst PT coverage out of all the capital cities in the country.

But the lucky few who have access to it get 50c tickets so winning 🥴

From 2023. David McMahon is an Australian naturalist. He's on Instagram. David demonstrates how dangerous northern Australian crocs are. This is clear saltwater but if it was a muddy river you wouldn't know he/she was there. When David stands up the behaviour changes instantly.

Yes David these laws COULD have been a lot better.

Professor Langtons description of the parties involved and how it will play out was 100% spot on.
January 20, 2026 at 9:41 PM
I dont like wedge politics but every party with some power does it. Labor just seems to be better at it currently. Anyone pretending it was just the libs they wedged isnt an honest person either.
Putting aside the online tribalism for a moment its clear we will end up with new gun laws and new hate speech laws.

How many of these people are Davids former clients?
This is absolutely obscene. Tax the rich.
January 19, 2026 at 8:44 PM
What is it with men specifically using fucked up language like this?

I dont even preference labor 1st but this toxic “everyone is weak but meeeeee” shit thats going on is weird and gross. Its also usually spouted by the biggest sooks ever to grace the planet.

Is the DV abuser playing the Open this year?
January 19, 2026 at 4:45 AM
Yes the people who tried to change the constitution (at the req of FN people) during the their first term are spineless.

The millionaire lawyers who havent stopped have a public sook since their clients fucked up the last federal election however they are big and strong and tough and manly 🥴
This will be history's ultimate test of whether this government had a functioning spine

Larissas messaging is SO much better than David “CRINGING IN FEAR” Shoebridge‘s.

His sounds like the rantings of an aggressive man. Hers sounds like reasonable takes. Greens (and us by extension) are lucky shes the leader and not him.
Labor has dropped highly controversial hate speech laws but is still trying to get Coalition support for dangerous changes to the Migration Act and new powers for the Home Affairs Minister.

These changes are bad and the Greens stand with the community to oppose them.
January 19, 2026 at 1:11 AM
Sounds like old David is “CRINGING IN FEAR”.
Trump is trying to sell Palestinian sovereignty for $1 billion per seat while Palestinians are still being bombed and starved under the so-called “ceasefire.”

This isn’t diplomacy, it’s profiteering off genocide. Australia better not touch this with a 10-foot pole.
