South Australia, the Queensland people have always had a difficult relationship with police. However, Adelaide born Commissioner Ray Whitrod is the hero of the story. Always remembered here in Qld & never forgotten amongst us Queenslanders. #qldpol oa.anu.edu.au/obituary/whi...

Yep. Totally agree 💯 👍 👍
Ok, so first thing to do before rushing off to the US president is to ask Queensland's Indigenous people if it's ok to dig up their land. Explain why the world needs critical minerals & how payments from that mining can help them. If they say no, that's the end of it. #qldpol

Significant submission from the Catholic church in Queensland against the "criminalisation of speech". I'm not of the faith but I have studied the papacy. Little happens without the Pope's knowledge. I'm a pagan to the Church but Pope Leo XIV is saying we can have a convo. #qldpol

Queensland Police have been exceptional in their management of rallies since the Fitzgerald Inquiry. Not even during the Newman government did we see anything like Sydney 2026.

Let's keep the conversation open between Qld police & Qld public. #qldpol

Mark this.

The Queensland people & the Queensland Police will always stand together against crime. We will not engage in Joh era language like this.

Queenslanders will continue to rally & Qld police officers will keep us safe while doing so. #qldpol
Since the findings of the Fitzgerald Inquiry, Queensland Police and the Queensland people always work together to address crime.

All of the great Queensland Police Commissioners since understand & support peaceful protest.

If Paul Keating was the Opposition Leader right now what would he be asking Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers?

Forget polls & Lib leadership stuff. That's the intellectual deliberation we need to have right now. #auspol

The roar from Queensland Labor Premier William Forgan Smith to the 1939 insurrectionists echoes through to 2026. Showing no fear of their weapons he stated, "If you are a rebel, you will have to take the consequences of being one." #qldpol nofibs.com.au/disturbing-t...

Incredible Aus media. It's well over 24hrs since Qld Premier David Crisafulli took it upon himself to negotiate a critical minerals agreement with Donald Trump.

Somehow it's accepted.

@barackobama.bsky.social is the most recent US president to visit Queensland, Australia. 2 ospreys shook my house in 2014 on way to Uni Qld. The Newman govt was jackbooting across Qld in that year. The regime refused to attend the speech. What if they had? #qldpol youtu.be/VlqySVSSXvA

After promising over many years to build a bridge in her electorate, Qld's Attorney-General Deb Frecklington had to be dragged across multiple front pages of The Chronicle by her Nanango constituents to get something done.

You can see here how the framing of youth crime on the Qld nightly news has changed since 2023-24. OL David Crisafulli would be given a free kick against the government. The backdrop would have read "Youth Crime Crisis".

Why did Queenslanders give Campbell Newman such a huge majority in 2012 only to strip it away in 2015? Part of the reason can be explained here by Tony Fitzgerald QC speaking prior to the 2015 election. #qldpol nofibs.com.au/tony-fitzger...

Like a flyer the ears are up in Queensland.

Deb Frecklington is Qld's Attorney-General & the MP for the state seat of Nanango. The seat was abolished & later restored.

You'll never guess who held the seat from 3 May 1947 – 29 April 1950.

OK, you know who I'm going to say. #qldpol
In Qld, the Crisafulli government's "Fighting Antisemitism & Keeping Guns out of the Hands of Terrorists & Criminals Amendment Bill 2026" consolidates power with the Qld A-G to criminalise phrases. That person is former OL & Newman government member, Deb Frecklington. #qldpol

I swear David Crisafulli by pursuing Federal related policies like this one and others like inviting Trump here THEN appearing at the NPC is aiming to be PM. It’s the Joh-For-Canberra campaign rebooted. There’s a dearth of Liberal talent there so I suppose why not. He’s got the gift of the gab?
