The mythical media trump—who knows anything about what he's talking about—is on a collision course with the sudden need to pretend to know nothing at all about a story that he's had lots of help trying to forget.
Round Up the Usual Suspect - Truthdig

Someone has gone through and actually run the numbers on molestation crimes against children.

The politicians who commit these crimes are overwhelmingly Republican.

67% of politicians convicted between February 10, 2023 and May 23, 2024 nationwide were Republicans.

Joe Ingles has an autistic son who recently watched his first NBA game in an arena.

But Ingles didn't play in that game.

Tonight, the Timberwolves put Ingles in the starting lineup with his son finally able to watch his dad play ❤️

I know the material reasons for the rise of fascism. I also think another reason - which doesn’t get talked about as much because it’s embarrassing that humans can be that naive - is that when you are financially comfortable but bored, abstract cruelty can give you a sense of purpose.

The Super Bowl felt like a “get off the mat” moment for those of us who don’t share Trump's dark vision for America. From the ads to the pregame show to Kendrick Lamar’s flag to the team that won, this was a day that reminded us where the real power in America is.

Opinion: Super Bowl a rejection of Trump's vision for America
New Orleans jazz, Kendrick Lamar's halftime show, even the Philadelphia Eagles' victory a reminder of all that's good in America.

It's amazing how badly most congressional Democrats are misreading the mood of their base.

On the bright side, if you're ever considered running for Congress, the 2026 Democratic Party primaries are going to be a prime moment for "throw the old guard out" insurgents.

I’m never surprised with the Democratic Party for behaving like feckless idiots, but there’s an obvious affirmative case to be made for trans rights alongside reproductive rights and LGBTQ rights and it’s about FREEDOM which is something you would think US politicians wouldn’t be afraid to embrace.

“Bernie would have won” is a statement of values. It doesn’t mean him specifically, this time, at his age, would have won. (Though he would have in 2016.)

It means we know what it takes to win. Authenticity. Left populism. A willingness to go anywhere to fight for your beliefs.
