tbh I'm kinda mad at my high school guidance counselor for not suggesting I go into shady copper dealing, which is apparently lucrative enough to net a bigger house than I've ever lived in as an adult.

I lived next door to people who spoke different languages pretty much my entire life. I've worked with folks speaking Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, Hindi, you name it. One Cambodian refugee I worked with was the biggest believer in the greatness of America I've ever met. I'd choose them any day.
I would rather live next door to someone who speaks another language than live next door to someone who doesn’t want to live near people who speak other languages. I know nothing about Person A but I know person B is a shitbird.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do
