tbh I'm kinda mad at my high school guidance counselor for not suggesting I go into shady copper dealing, which is apparently lucrative enough to net a bigger house than I've ever lived in as an adult.

Being a person of low moral character is EXTREMELY profitable nowadays, too. Missed opportunities
Ea-nāṣir lived in n. 1 Old Street (this is a modern name completely fabricated by Sir Leonard Wooley, the excavator at the time) of area AH. This home was finely built and stood with an area of 110 m2, an average home in this neighborhood being about 70 m2.

Look, I know we’re all rightfully pissed about the current Epstein stuff, but you should really set aside some time and read this piece. There’s a reason “mitigating the effects of climate change” is one of my key policy positions.

I love Aviary Attorney and Adios and The Wolf of Derevnya and Disco Elysium and Analogue: A Hate Story and all the other games where the writing makes it go from "this is me hitting the A-button over and over" to "WTF what is this emotion I am feeling?"
YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT! I HAVE WRITTEN A NEW ARTICLE!

this one's a bit weird; rather than doing my usual "trying to organize my thoughts and building a winding case that builds on itself," I decided to show you what my EARLY article creation process looks like:

some loosely organized thoughts about dialogue sysin games
think of this as me trying to find out what parts of dialogue choices are load bearing game design and what else can be done with dialogue.

If I had a nickel for every Oscar Isaac movie where in his hubris he creates a person from scratch who then escapes and kills people, I'd have 2 nickels, but it's still weird it happened twice

I lived next door to people who spoke different languages pretty much my entire life. I've worked with folks speaking Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, Hindi, you name it. One Cambodian refugee I worked with was the biggest believer in the greatness of America I've ever met. I'd choose them any day.
I would rather live next door to someone who speaks another language than live next door to someone who doesn’t want to live near people who speak other languages. I know nothing about Person A but I know person B is a shitbird.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

As a recent disaster survivor who now has more bars of soap and mini-toiletries than I could ever use: This. Nobody wants a collection of travel toothbrushes. Either help substantively or help by making Halloween still be fun.
Nope .

Don’t make poor kids feel worse .

This is supposed to be about joy, let them have it
I don't know what's worse, the fact that I'm surprised by this headline or the fact that I probably shouldn't be:
