Another fun question.

True or False: Judicial immunity covers the use of AI by judges who delegate the authorship of their judicial decisions to undisclosed, unknown algorithms.

This is true. Meanwhile, on the flip side, I'm suing the No. 1 Free Speech Absolutist and his best buddy for libel because they kept falsely calling me a criminal in ~30 different ways. A judge who on paper is as liberal as one can get just said that's A-OK because, as he put it, "First Amendment."
Guys who claim to be "free speech absolutists" suing for defamation. Keeps happening.

Read the complaint. It's ridiculously weak. Doesn't even attempt to show actual malice. Repeatedly cites opinion statements as if they're factual.

Censorial bullshit from Taibbi.

Stop?
I assume that most law professors just start drinking at 7:00 A.M. and stop at midnight these days.
Law prof: “ Well, you see, the problem here is that even though the name change violates a statute it is hard to see how someone might have standing to…oh, never mind.”

What bothers me more than the predictably disingenuous USDOJ lying to the public is the fact that district judge after district judge lets them keep doing it and it's not even a story. Boasberg belatedly pretending to consider contempt is somehow worthy of applause—and then it gets shut down anyway.
So in spring, Pam Bondi said there was nothing to the Epstein investigation, then “closed” it. Now, they “find” 1 million more docs.

So did she close this without seeing these docs? Or was someone hiding them?

To recap:
*The Trump administration illegally renamed the Kennedy Center. They broke the law.
*Now they are suing a guy who refused to perform because of the name change for $1 million.

Any California litigators on here?

True or False: A Special Motion to Strike pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure § 425.16 filed *alone* without an Answer or Demurrer in place of a proposed pleading with a § 473(b) motion to set aside default prevents a second default.

Yikes!
At the gpg.fail talk and omg #39c3

You can just put a \0 in the Hash: header and then newlines and inject text in a cleartext message.

Won’t even blame PGP here. C is unsafe at any speed.

gpg has not fixed it yet.

Fun fact: in many jurisdictions, a complaint typeset in a mixture of Calibri and Arial would violate the Local Rules. That's how you know the lawyer who wrote it is awesome.
December 27, 2025 at 5:11 PM
This is 100% not true.
This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

He didn't take an oath. He didn't even place his hand on the bible. You all just pretended he did and have gone along with it ever since.
It’s hard to believe that one man can cause so much stress, so much fear, so much pain and suffering…a man who took an oath to preserve and protect our Constitution. This man, who is inciting terror across our land, must be removed from office. In a sane world, it would happen immediately.

How are these fits of presidential incontinence never covered as their own news events in NYT? Hours of sick hateful bile from the curdled joyless leader of the Christian nationalists sitting in the ruins of the tinsel trimmed White House he’s demolishing — seems like a story to me.
