I spent an excessive number of years moderating a gaming forum and I learned a great deal about community spaces and cultivation, whether I wanted to or not. I have critical advice for anyone who runs a game store or gaming convention. Please share this thread with people who run those things.

The most effective way to resist this modern brand of fascism isn't to completely immerse yourself in its propaganda. You're actually helping their message spread. Go and make art or read a book or spend time with offline people. You can't marinate in the horror and emerge unscathed.

This is a good argument for anyone who cares about political or intellectual coherence, but I have some bad news about many non-Americans.
Non-Americans supporting the Maduro ouster are such rubes. Suppose in 2029 POTUS Kamala decides Javier Milei has to stand trial in the US for the crypto scam. She fires missiles at Buenos Aires and loads him and his sister on a helicopter. How can you oppose that if you support outsing Maduro?

Here’s a hint: even if you have moral principles, not acting on them is indistinguishable from not having them. We’re just left with the biggest bully acting as he wants without pushback.
