The Russian Orthodox Church urged Russians not to "feed with their savings" the foreign tourism business. Archpriest Andrey Tkachev, during a sermon, advised instead of traveling to the Maldives, Turkey, or Italy, to visit Russian churches and shrines "marked by the blood of new martyrs."
