It's baffling when one considers James Ball's illustrious career as an investigative journalist. This includes being part of a Pulitzer Prize-winning team at the Guardian.

I find it baffling how James Ball can justify such unethical editing. BBC Panorama's job is to produce evidence-based investigative journalism.

As propaganda, such edits are standard practice; in journalism, they are unethical.

Does it matter, George? Trump uses fantasy lawsuits to bully, and executive power to bring people and corporations to heel. The BBC has commercial interests in the US, and Trump could conceivably shut these down.
