Look, I think it’s folly to monitor NYT coverage at this point but it just has to be said that the NYT covered those damn university president hearings BREATHLESSLY but the Epstein emails???? Crumbs. Even though I’m used to them being bootlickers, it’s still appalling to see.

People getting mad here about anyone saying it's good that MTG and Trump are fighting. I teach democratization every semester. The first slide says 'elite fracture.' That's always where it starts. It's good when people with bad politics are fighting one another.

Congress doesn't actually have to wait for trump to come to them. The constitutional system envisions a legislative branch of government that does not serve the president or wait for him to seek them out. There are things they can do right now to make clear trump cannot unilaterally go to war

One reason I have nearly no patience with elites is that they have the scope, power & protection to act & they almost never do. Whether it's an assistant or wrier in Hollywood or a high schooler or carpenter standing beside me at Broadview ICE, I've seen regular people show so much courage. SO MUCH.
