I don't think we're going to have a successful Amazon boycott till we break their monopoly on indie books.

They have a clever strategy to build their monopoly, which any functional government would have banned: if you want your indie book listed in Kindle Unlimited, you have to be exclusive. 🧵

While the right lose their goddamn minds about a lone wolf doing something horrendous in DC today, let’s not forget that last week in the White House they all gushed over a genocidal, journalist murdering tyrant whose country financed 9/11.

Noah Schnapp (plays Will Beyers) is a Zionist, racist, and genocide supporter.

He’s made horrible comments and been allowed to keep his job whilst they fired Susan Surandon and Melissa Berrara for speaking up for Palestine.

Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

The FBI pulled all-nighters and burned nearly $1M in OT trying to redact the Epstein files all the while Trumpworld argued over what to hide or release. The panic says more than the pages do. Transparency shouldn’t be optional. What are they hiding?

Electric bills are up 11% this year, and shutoffs are spiking across the country.

At the same time, corporations are building hundreds of energy-hungry data centers, and working families are being forced to absorb the cost. Higher bills for us, higher profits for them. seiu.co/3M71usW

Maybe the next generation will set its sights on solving systemic problems instead of “My burrito is at a restaurant, but I’m all cozy here so, can a guy with a medical degree from another country bring it to me.” We’ve got that covered, and then some.

As a lawyer, I'm willing to admit that "we're not responsible for our chatbot talking someone into suicide because our terms of service prohibit using our chatbot for suicide" means that lawyers need to be first up against the wall when the revolution comes.

I have long posited that Daniel Craig's accent in Glass Onion is better than Knives Out because in Knives Out he is trying to do a real Southern accent and is bad at it but in Glass Onion he is just talking like Foghorn Leghorn, which is something a real gay Southern weirdo would do.

> They can get married in Poland simply by crossing the border to Germany

This is a) not in Poland and b) the "simply" there is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It's good that it's an option *for some people* but it's not enough.

This is "just go abroad for an abortion" rhetoric but for gay marriage.

> This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

Would be really cool if it were true, but no, that's still a fight we have to fight domestically. This just forces them to recognise marriage from other countries. A gay couple in Poland still cannot get married in Poland.
