It’s an expensive and time consuming process. This is cruel!
This really is grotesque: they went through years-long citizenship processes and are now being denied simply because if the country they are from. It’s formalized bigotry.

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:
- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

I think about this in how the guy who ran MySpace sold his company and then traveled the world doing photography, while the guy who runs Facebook never let it go and has gone out of his way to destroy democracy in order to gain more power.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

As a person who had to get health insurance in the before times I do appreciate not being denied health insurance.
Hating the ACA is similar to hating on vaccines.
It's a luxury borne of not really appreciating what existed before.
The fix wasn't perfect, and there is a lot more that we could do to make it better.
But the "ACA Was Bad" Discourse is just untethered from reality.

If a "clean CR" spikes my constituents’ health insurance premiums, it’s not clean. It’s dirty and puts the interests of the richest Americans ahead of Minnesota and I won’t vote for it.

Returning to a subject I was discussing this morning on X, I think a single video like this does more to radicalize people against ICE than any loaded rhetoric any politician has ever used, and DHS should think very hard about the consequences of supporting this kind of behavior from its agents.
I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

The people that think Cracker Barrel is their culture should be re-thinking their entire lives.
I can’t ever imagine getting this worked up over a Cracker Barrel. If Cracker Barrel was my “culture and heritage” I’d bury my head in the ground like a sick ostrich.
Referring to a mediocre breakfast restaurant as your culture and heritage is one of the whitest things I've ever read.
