Apple is anti-union.

Tesla is anti-union.

Amazon is anti-union.

McDonald's is anti-union.

Starbucks is anti-union.

Google is anti-union.

Walmart is anti-union.

These mega-corporations aren’t on workers’ side and their actions make it painfully clear.

I remember growing up and hearing that flying cars were just a few years away, with live demos and public events and everything, and then they just never materialized.

Anyways, yeah, I'm sure AI is going to be doing everyone's jobs by 2030.

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Straight up the reason I've held onto my 2021 phone is because I have no reason to upgrade. It does everything I need it to.

This whole article is such a joke LMAO

I feel that we are being pushed to creating more abstract art in order to distinguish ourselves from AI generated crap.

Hey so just a heads up: Shaming people for buying harmless shit that makes them happy actively harms your cause more than it helps.

AI cannot do *anything* better than more verified, more affordable, and more capable technologies.

Any technology that is longer than six months out (and even then) is never happening.

The entirety of AI hype is built on the premise of what it might be able to do, not what it presently can do.

This guy thinks optimization middleware is the same thing as generative AI. He wants to force this product down our throats and he has no idea what it even *is*.

CEOs ladies and gentlemen.

the recent reporting on how they treated the first class program made it clear that keighley isn't just a farce, but actually malicious

I wonder what Josef "Fuck the Oscars" Fares is feeling about The Game Awards gradually turning into utter Oscarslop.

Okay, no, I think you misheard me Nintendo, I said the Metroid video game that’s coming out. That’s not even a video game, why would you make a Direct for that?

Been having this really infuriating issue with Megabonk on Steam Deck where selecting a powerup will occasionally just select whatever happens to be beneath it. I have lost several runs to this because it will select a weapon completely antithetical to my build.

Anyone else having this issue?

It's felt extremely good to start cutting off the platforms and services in my life that I don't really need. I degoogled my phone yesterday, set up a local cloud server to back up all of my photos in, shut down my Amazon account, and am now working on moving everything to a junk email.

lolnah, Target can fuck off with this. I had a few reasons to go to Target but as I haven't been there in a long time, I got plenty of local options.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

Game development is funny because you can ask for the most ridiculous, esoteric, eldritch abomination of a feature and an engineer can implement it in a lunch period but if you ask for something like "I want this door to open both ways" it takes six months and several hundred thousand dollars.
Everything about making video games is harder than you think.

It's very, very interesting to see all of the LGBTQ art from Mass Effect for N7 day, knowing that all of that would get the artists arrested and likely murdered in the country that now owns EA.

Google, Samsung, Motorola, and Apple all advertising their phones as being jam-packed with AI is the single most effective marketing technique to make sure I never buy any of their phones.
