Hot take but a massive amount of the "bloat" game development as an industry deals with is a direct result of forcing game devs to work on mediocre games made as a product to support a business and "be safe" rather than...ya know. a game.

Having just finished MP4, and having grown up with Hunters as one of my absolute favorite game, it honestly baffles me how much they gassed up Sylux as part of the game and he legit isn't there for 95% of it.
Well, I am almost done with Metroid Prime 4 now. Absolutely baffled by some of it. They made such a big deal of Sylux and yet the way he’s explained feels so extraneous from the rest of the game. What the hell was that all about?

It's utterly fucking wild to me that one of the biggest "influencers" I was told to follow at the beginning of my cybersecurity career is someone who, without a single drop of red team experience, is trying to write a book on "entry level" Red Teaming with an AI generated cover to boot.
