Any time (and I mean *any* time) someone gives a 2-10 year estimate on when a technology will accomplish a specific, outlandish thing, that specific and outlandish thing is almost never going to happen.

I would argue not necessarily in the case of Sakurai, who arguably holds an *extremely* unique position in the japanese game development space. But he's not saying this as a rule that developers by and large should follow, but he doesn't necessarily wanna be seen as another Kojima.

Megabonk calling out TGA explicitly for not doing their research is both incredibly awesome on Megabonk's part, and not at all surprising on TGA's part, given their history with doing absolutely no research in their nominations.

TGA giving ad time to Spotify (the company presently most well known for their fear of Mexicans) and finding out that their game dev initiative was utter dogshit has shown on no uncertain terms just how much TGA exists to be ad space for other companies, and absolutely nothing else.

Working in infosec instills a sense of professional paranoia, but in a lot of ways I think it's stuff most people should be doing.

The tradeoff for security is usually convenience. Not functionality.
