Many correspondence audits collect data on multiple characteristics but don't examine all potential forms of discrimination. In our latest paper on @socarxiv.bsky.social, “Missing Results of Discrimination,” we show that scholars may unintentionally miss key findings.

Missing Results of Discrimination: A Systematically Comparative Meta-Analysis and Re-Examinations of Racial, Gender, and Intersectional Discrimination using Correspondence Audits
Intersectionality theory argues that race and gender cannot be fully understood in isolation or through an additive approach. However, field experiments frequently examine aggregate racial or gender…

A man in academia: He's amazing! He doesn't disrespect me, allows me to suggest my own ideas & even got me an unpaid internship.

A woman in ac: She advocated so I'd get pay for internship, supported my mental health & gave me a kidney. But her 'hello' was cold. She might be a bitch, I don't know.

There is absolutely no reason to deport a longtime journalist who is authorized to work in the United States.

The Dekalb County Sheriff's Office should not have released Mario Guevara to ICE.

🚨By a 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court UPHOLDS Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for minors, concluding that it does NOT discriminate on the basis of sex, is not subject to heightened scrutiny, and survives rational basis review. All three liberals dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

Las Vegas police immediately arrest two livestreamers when one of them insults an officer after an anti-ICE protest ("honor your oath, bitch"). "You need to learn there's rules: don't run your mouth at me."

Who the fuck at Streets Alive thought this was a good idea?

But who will stand up for the bacon, cheese, and egg?
""It's really hard to fathom that the guy making my pizza for 25 years is a gangster and a terrorist, and the person who shows up in an unmarked car wearing a mask and body armor comes to take him away is somehow the good guy," said Simon..."

Well now we know why Uber + Waymo is a sponsor. They paid $25K to be sponsors. This is why we need to get corporate money out of the non-profit industrial complex. At least our concerns are being heard by the local media.

"Pilgrim said the skybridge will improve accessibility to the Capitol and to committee hearings for young people, seniors and people in wheelchairs. "

Maybe fix the sidewalks, crosswalks, and building entrances first?

More Americans voted for Senator Alex Padilla than for 48 of the 53 red state GOP U.S. Senators combined.
Posting this 1967 Birmingham News editorial cartoon for all the people who don't realize that this is how MLK was viewed by a big chunk of white America.
Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.
not the main issue here but i'd really appreciate it if democratic politicians spoke out in support of big-city life and culture with the same energy and reverence that all politicians have for small towns

los angeles is "real america" and so are all the other big cities the president hates

The Supreme Court holds that fascism is bad. Thomas and Alito dissent.

He seems to be describing Congress...

Rep. Dan Crenshaw on Medicaid: "The person we're taking it away from is the able-bodied adult with no children who refuses to work."

Bill Torpy wrote something similar a few weeks ago, and I'm not buying it. Their "solution" doesn't align well with the problem they suggest.

IF their concerns are truly about peds vs micromobility, consider first regulating the scooters plaguing the beltline. These are allowed to be dumped everywhere, often right in the middle of the path. People riding them often have limited experience & possibly inebriated at the most congested times.

This is such stupid bullshit. The Atlanta Botanical Garden has especially shown their true colors by giving us a massive Public Storage right on the beltline and now this.

INBOX: In an op-ed, leaders of Atlanta Botanical Garden, Park Pride, and Trust for Public Land embraced Mayor Dickens' "group project" to kill the voter-approved Streetcar East Extension and move things Southside. They are now calling for building a second Eastside BeltLine along the streetcar ROW.
The Beltline is increasingly popular, and Atlanta must help it evolve

Lots of people are in crisis. Many of us have lost our jobs. Others been reduced to half time. The rest fear what’s coming. Education evaluation positions have been entirely eliminated at some firms. The world for thousands is radically different than it was even 3 months ago. So, yeah, this tracks.
Hey NY Times--

It is still a "fringe theory" -- every court has rejected it.

There is still a "broad consensus" -- John Eastman is a disgraced lawyer under indictment.

The only thing that has changed is the Times.

Hah..damn. You and I were at the same spot about 5 minutes apart. I also made note of this sticker as I waited to cross on my bike.
