I have this exact kind of neighbor! Every season, every other day, without fail, he is mowing his lawn, blowing his leaves, or snowblowing. Little by little encroaching on to my yard as if trying to take it over, randomly 5am to 5pm

Bob across the street doesn’t work for the city. He’s not clearing the snow from his driveway at 3 am to help emergency vehicles. He’s competing with George, his neighbor in a hyper masculinity war of gas powered personal industrial devices for warring with snow.

Catch up snowblowing done. Driveway and steps/walks clear. Now to drive to Iowa to pick up the dogs from my mother. Gonna be a long day. But once we’re back, it’s settle in for the holidays time.

I love playing in it. I hate having to shovel it. About a decade ago I was always too tired to go play in it. We'd get a foot (30cm). I'd have to go snowblow, then shovel down the snow banks 'cause snowblowing would max out those banks & the blower wouldn't blow over them any more. Spend a day (1/2)

Reason #102045829496 that I know my husband is a good guy: after snowblowing our 200ft driveway, he makes sure to get not only our sidewalk, but at least two houses down on either side, if they havent been done yet.

-put my whole ass into snowblowing and it wasn’t even enough to get the car out
-put my whole ass into work til 10:30 and it wasn’t even enough to finish the project
-made my whole body intensely sore
-completely missed wrestling
And nothing to show for any of it

I hate this fucking season. I hate that every time I go somewhere it's an hour of prep just to get the car out of the driveway. Shoveling, clearing cars, snowblowing. I hate having to put on a spacesuit just to go outside. Our ancestors had the right idea hunkering down by the fire for months.

One of the reasons we live in a condo is so that we don’t have to do things like yardwork or snowblowing.

A friendly suggestion if you just got a big snow dump. If you are able, and you have neighbors who are not, please consider shoveling, snowblowing, or plowing them out. I can't recall how many times I went on a 911 call to a snowed-in house, with all the neighbors walks and drives nice and clear,

We have an Ego Single Stage.
We already had one battery because of our lawnmower, and bought a second one, which allows us all the snowblowing capacity we need. We got it at the Ace on Nicollet!
(Also, there is great joy in being the snowblower guy!).

Just got in from snowblowing the driveway & sidewalk for the 3rd time today and I expect to have to do it again tomorrow morning before going to Church. Good thing the Bears played Friday because it looks like I'm going to a late Mass tomorrow. Life in the Chicago area.
