Wow. Getting a lot of blocks today. I guess there's a lot of people out there that do t like Hendricks. Or maybe it's all the "How dare you talk about sports all when the world is burning down" people. I don't know. I just know I need something to take my mind off the craziness we are living in.

He was the man Maddon trusted to start Game 6 in the 2016 NLCS & won the game that sent the Cubs to the World Series. He was the man Maddon trusted to start Game 7 of the World Series. He is truly an all time Cubs legend. Congratulations on your retirement Kyle Hendricks.

Well...look at that. Watching the news and I see the Bears actually won that game. I turned off the TV after that last Flacco TD (didn't even watch the extra point). Figured it was over plus the wife had our Sunday dinner ready. Guess that shows me that I shouldn't do that anymore.

Well, it's Nov. 1st. Halloween is over. The old garden has been cleared out. So of course today, the Tomato Growers catalog shows up. Time to plan for 2026.

Here's a goofy note: The MLB season started in Japan on March 20 when the Dodgers played the Cubs. It ends tonight or tomorrow in Toronto.
