If a real net of transport existed, one connecting the outskirts in between them instead of being an only way outskirts-center, I wouldn't need a car to move from my outskirt city to the outskirt workplace. But atm it takes 2h to make a 15min travel in car because it's point A-center-point B in bus.

Never in the 5 boroughs (at least in the 30-odd yrs I've been here). Lots of outskirt tri-state locations in plazas/strip malls but I don't think they ever did micro sites in the city

We are! I’m sprinkling in some third-party stuff here and there, but it’s mostly Secrets of the Dragon Empire.
But my players have turned Outskirt into a home for every critter in the Vale that doesn’t try to eat them first, so I think actually we might be playing Monster Hunter…

The PCs eventually make their way to the village of Outskirt, interact with various NPCs, pick up rumors, and meets a contact from one of the factions. We’ve got one more session before the holiday break and they’re planning their first journey out into the Vale following rumors.

Meta Knight's early game is slow, awkward, and genuinely kind of awful, but once he starts snowballing, he also becomes absurd. A little vehicle dependent (really wants Wing, Paper, Shadow, or Warp), and no outskirt island spawn can hurt, but a properly built MK is extremely versatile.

cannot be emphasized enough that this city is 7 miles across at its widest point, and you would be going from "sparse rich people neighborhood outskirt" to "sparse poor people neighborhood outskirt" with all of the actual stuff in the city in between
legitimately inconceivable to them. one woman told me I had blinders on when I said it's trivially easy to get around this city without a car and it's like, I literally do it every day. I see other people doing it every day. my coworkers do it. what are you talking about!
