You can really tell who gives a shit about their craft if they let the camera just linger for a little bit longer, goes for directors and actors alike. Semi-related, but Nosferatu (2024) is really good.

Watching this with the director and cast interviews woven inbetween really bolstered the experience, learning about certain scenes being constructed and how Jacob, Sam, and Delainey handled each scene emotionally. Showing how their differences in life affected their cadence on screen.

It's actually insane how infatuated I am with this series, a mundane concept being pickled with flavour and dangling comedic situations in front of the viewer, and never expecting them to laugh due to the chaotic nature of the reality it's set itself in.
The Chair Company - Season 1
Feels like an extended ITYSL sketch, while keeping the uncomfortableness from said series there's a seriousness that really feels true to life. Everyone feels like a chaotic character living in a chaotic mess, and that feels so true to reality. 9.2

I started watching “The Chair Company.” It’s amazing how Tim Robinson can still keep that absurdness from I Think You Leave, all the while playing it as an intense drama in a world full of characters in the literal sense. It’s so hard to explain without going on a diatribe about what a “comedy” is.
