Live sports is compelling (and valuable) principally because it is a real thing that actually happens
Honestly I'm almost Impressed with Danganronpa fans. Being able to witness 95% of your cast get killed almost self-parody levels of absurd ways And not instantly uninstall let alone continue drawing and talking about your favorite characters as if nothing happens is almost a Herculean feat.
