I subscribe to some media outlets that I don't even read (The Atlantic has too damn many words, but I agree with 'em).

Brandishing is a legal term that means to display all or part of a firearm, or otherwise make its presence known to another person to intimidate them, regardless of whether it's directly visible to that person. Given the video, that's not what Alex Pretti was doing when he was shot & killed.

Problem is that it actually IS that sprawling. There's no really dominant job or population center; even downtown isn't that dense. But that's why it's both so expensive AND not an especially nice place to live, cuisine variety and great weather notwithstanding.

There is no time like the present for Blue Governors, Mayors, County Boards, and City Councils to do what I’ve been petitioning for months now; create *special task forces* that deal directly and exclusively with DHS overreach & criminal copycats.
