The thing is… Charlotte is in NC. And I think there might be unforeseen consequences. “North Carolina has voted for the Republican candidate in all but one presidential election since 1980” and perhaps that bird won’t fly there. Or maybe it will: (note that Charlotte is in Mecklenburg County)

yt people aren’t alone in protecting pedos. the problem is they have systems to protect them.

there’s only a few states that ban child marriage…..religion is also a massive part of how pedos get their victims and that goes across race. age of consent is also varied and constantly abused by people

Haha, those are really great facts!

I'd add that forests in Germany are only about 10.000 years old. Because before that there was the ice age 🤷

I found this site very interesting. I looked up how many people in my House district, AZ-02 Eli Crane (R), are on SNAP.
Then I looked up Mike Johnson, Speaker.
www.pbump.net/o/heres-how-...
The screen shots say a lot. 28,610 Children & 20,744 Seniors in the Speaker's own district will go hungry.

Looked at the Dutch election data as far as the 1937 elections. Historically, the Dutch Left has never held a majority of the vote. However, the 2025 elections is their lowest vote share ever. But, the far-right will have its highest vote share ever in 2025. #dataviz #datawrapper #ggplot #dutch

that i saw 2 days earlier from an actual journalist with years and years of work experience at big brand name outlets. They recreated it in datawrapper, and claimed it as their own work. They changed the colors slightly lmao.

I've had this happen too. Policy threads of mine lifted & put in a PDF...

Yes and no! I made the chart originally in Google Sheets/Datawrapper. I then decided to draw the bars manually with rectangles in the print layout to change the style a bit, and just because I, for some reason, wanted all of the final design to be in QGIS for this one 🤷‍♀️😄

Check out this comparison - in Detroit, for their City Council, also for their District 7, progressive Denzel McCampbell wins the seat with the backing of DSA. How many votes did he need? He won a city council seat with a little over 7K votes. In Columbus, Vogel wins more than 50K votes and loses.

This integration wouldn't be possible without the work our team at Reuters put into improving the underlying Python library for working with Datawrapper.

I wrote about that in this recent thread: https://mastodon.palewi.re/@palewire/115406705532034555
