The UK government / penal system is being viciously, unnecessarily, vindictively cruel.

What would it cost them to supply a mask to a weakened prisoner?!

And REMEMBER: these prisoners have NOT been convicted of any crime: OVER A YEAR in prison without trial!

All to kowtow to psychopathic Israel.

Day 50 of Pal Action prisoner hunger strike. Their demands are an end to the prison censorship, immediate bail for prisoners held without conviction, de-proscription of Palestine Action and shutdown of Elbit Systems.

Amu Gib, who joined the strike on Dec. 2, has been hospitalized.

Escalate now!

I suppose I don't find that narrative so completely impossible, people are nuts. But there are more details that could help to settle it: there's the mail handling in the prison, there should be a record of the prisoner posting a letter and a scan of the letter. And, is it the right postmark?

Prisoner 4 Palestine Qesser Zuhrah is at imminent risk of death!
I've contacted people at HMP Bronzefield
They have 2 doctors with them trying to get an ambulance in to take her to hospital
The prison has refused to transfer her
Justice Secretary David Lammy you must step in. Show humanity

I’m at Bronzefield Prison near Heathrow, where hunger strikes linked to protests over
Palestine are taking place.

One prisoner, Qesser Zuhrah, has become seriously unwell. We urgently need confirmation that basic humanity is being respected for her and for others on hunger strike.

Is there any prisoner in the prison system that is not having a security issue??? Maybe they should just fix the problem for everyone!

I'd bet that Trump's anger at Maduro and Venezuela started when Maduro forced the USA to get the 200 prisoner released the Trump sent to the terrible El Salvador prison in exchange to release Americans from Venezuela prisons. share.google/Do3dm8F63TpG...

The vast majority of security prisoner moves are to more secure prison, not the other way around.

It’s my attempt to explore the movement to reform prisons (c.1770s-1820s) from below. I look at letters, petitions and oral complaints of prisoners to access their views towards prison reform. And I consider how prisoner complaints/protests/requests shaped prison policy and everyday prison life.

You mean CECOT, the largest prison in Latin America and one of the largest in the world by prisoner capacity? CECOT the place that tortures inmates? CECOT place to which Trump sent people from America?
Kinda surprised you still have editors tbh

Trouble is that pretty much every US prisoner is given those things - we're *incredibly* bad at preventing prison suicides (and sexual violence), mainly because (in both cases) American society is somewhere between "who cares" and "awesome, that's exactly what those filthy subhumans deserve".

There are 227 trans women in prison, so at 62%, 140 have committed a sexual offence.

There are 48,000 trans women in the UK, so 140 people is 0.47%.

Joanne wants to punish an entire group based on the actions of 0.47% of people who probably didn't commit their crimes in unisex changing rooms.

ok so i haven’t fully read this bill, but it reminded me of a guy i knew in university, originally from egypt, who received refugee status after being here for years. there is a non-zero chance that if he’d had to return to his home country to renew his passport and apply for PR, he might have died.
