I'm doing my best to fix (1), but I'm at a loss as to how to show folks that actually music is fun even though you're going to sound like hot garbage for a month. Instead of picking up Suno you should pick up a mountain dulcimer or pennywhistle (I'm biased, but they're my favorite starter pokemon).

Granted, now I have the problem of needing to control three very different difficult instruments: flute, bagpipes, and banjo. And I don't want to give up any of them 😆
The pennywhistle and dulcimer is in there too, but the barrier of entry is much lower (I jump to them on bad days).

This is feel-good music from the Dominican Republic. If I didn't know where it came from, though, I would totally guess it was from South Africa in the 1980s - very much has the guitar and pennywhistle sound of township jazz, even the big vocal-harmony accents.
