Hello new friends! Have you played Seasonspree yet?

It's a cute little game about cute little animal friends, and you control the flow of time by walking left & right. It's really good, and not very long, because your time is valuable!

Seasonspree on Steam
A game about nurturing friendships and celebrating the changing of seasons, where you play as Sunny, a cute little tanuki with the ability to control the flow of time just by walking around.

Took this photo on the same night, because I thought this tree reflected in the window looked cool. But I only had that Lensbaby on me, and it would have been better with a sharp lens.

Age verification? Pull up a chair and have a drink from my Transformers thermos while I regale you with a perfect recollection of the Smothers Brothers episodes I had on VHS, including commercials

Age verification? How 'bout I describe the wall mural at Rocco's Pizza before it became Sizzle Pie

I need to remember that I can't deal with social gatherings in warehouses. Everything's too loud, my voice doesn't carry, and I can't get a single thing done. And the fact that they've turned it into a pizza place doesn't hide the fact that it's still a big echoey building full of noise.

But as far as actual playtime goes, nobody will ever top @austinmwav.com. They've got that secured for life.

This one's easy. Seasonspree.
Name a videogame you've put 500 hours into.

The main problem here is that modern cars are like a million pounds, and unless you're stalled facing downhill, or you're hauling an entire football team when it happens, I don't think that button would ever get the chance to light up.

But it turns out design brains don't shut down even in sleep.

And then, in the dream, I had a whole conversation about it with a friend. About how the mechanics are all still there, you just don't have a clutch to do it manually. So I thought of a button that would light up only when the engine's dead and the car's moving fast enough to engage.

Had a dream that someone's car died in the street, but it was a manual (not common in the US these days), so we helped push it so the driver could pop the clutch and get it going again. And then in my dream, I asked, "Why can't they make a button that bump-starts automatic cars like this?"

I can't believe this is still happening in 2026. Why do we let screen readers get away with this garbage? It's like they haven't made a single improvement in decades. Hire a dang research and product team, ya cheap jerks.
Hi, I use a screenreader and FONTS BREAK SCREENREADERS!!! Please be mindful of people with screenreaders.

Ooh, this was one of the first Stugan games back in 2015! Happy to see how far it's come along.
Cadence is out now!

Make music by solving circuits. It took 13 years to figure how to do this well!

Beyond the puzzles:
🐈‍⬛ Pet Ren, the cat!
📜 Enjoy Ren's life philosophy (all text is skippable)
🎹 Use the sandbox to make music

Can we live in a world where this would be a shocking revelation again please

Now if only I knew what the heck I'm actually doing at any given time.

I also moved the Scene panel below FileSystem, because it makes sense to start at the top and work down. And since it's the inverse of the screens you see in tutorials, I now have to think extra hard about what I'm doing, and I can't simply click where they click.

I do appreciate the customization Godot gives us. I've got all sorts of colors now, I tightened up the graphics on level 3, and I got rid of the rounded corners on everything! Nothing's more refreshing to me than a simple, unpretentious rectangle.

Bailing on one of the tutorials less than halfway through feels bad, but I just can't figure out why my code isn't working like it should. At least I have other tutorials I can start instead.

I miss classrooms. Those worked so much better for me.

I never got around to anything made in the SNES era, and I really want to fix that someday!

What game is this?

I'm not watching, but I get the same feeling with every big announcement and event. But there are billions of people in the world, so there's gotta be an audience for the niche games.
February 12, 2026 at 11:10 PM
I'm fine with missing out on things. There's too much in the world to experience it all.
February 12, 2026 at 11:01 PM
17 here, but with stipulations. I'll eat something that has vegan mayo in it, but I don't want to taste the mayo itself. Mushroom broth or powder's fine, but I don't like eating any mushroom I can feel, unless it's the kind you put on pizza, and only when it's on pizza.

It isn't that I want to be a manager, but two years and nearly two thousand unsuccessful applications for Sr and Lead roles makes me think I need to aim higher. A few employers have said I was overqualified for standard UX roles, which makes sense. I just like being a lead.
