Sorry We're Closed is currently free on EGS and it absolutely rules. It's like Silent Hill met Paradise Killer, if that makes sense to anyone? Stylish as hell (literally).

PG&E is having a massive outage in San Francisco. Waymo robots aren't handling the traffic light outages well. Cell service is also out is some places.

No surprise as Waymo robots & cell have repeatedly failed during power outages.

CPUC regulates both Waymo and PG&E (Profit Greed & Explosions).

Around half of San Francisco is without power right now and something like 1/3rd of intersections I drove through had waymos stopped in the middle of them making a dangerous situation even worse.

Do not let Waymo into your city.

Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

Seeing a lot of AI doomerism on the feed today.

Please remember the far back pandemic years when we were told that crypto and NFTs were inevitable.

We've laughed tech lunatics out of the conversation and we'll do it again, no matter how loudly they insist.

The list of 50 indie games stuff is great.

I like hearing about the under-the-radar games people like and I hope we can keep this energy going outside of the context of disliking The Game Awards

Folks I emphasize as always, if you don't actually show up for the things you want, they stop getting made. Sometimes you gotta be okay with taking a chance on that 7/10 game knowing it's the only way those creators get to keep making the stuff you wanna see
Keita Takahashi said 'To a T' didn't sell well enough. He moved back to Japan with his family, unsure if he will stay in the industry.

So check out my website and keep me in mind if you find yourself needing a writer/producer/editorial multi-hyphenate. Happy Holidays!!! www.mattkimwrites.com
