Once upon a time I was a games journalist for PCWorld, PC Gamer, etc. Let's give another one of these Twitter replacements a shot.

Reinventing zeppelins, wow, it really is the 1920s all over again.
Tech billionaire and Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s experimental aircraft, the Pathfinder 1, was spotted flying over San Francisco yesterday, photos and video show.

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

It's so disappointing.

Hot take, I know, but I just don't think "Development Cycle Longer Than An Entire Console Generation" is healthy or sustainable.

This is my concern, as the celebration winds down. We saw it happen in SF with Chesa Boudin. He quickly became the go-to reason for everything broken in SF, even when it made no sense—but it worked, and they got him recalled.
The full weight of western capitalism is about to laser focus on NYC. The robber barons failed to win and will panic. They will sabotage NYC because the system cannot allow Mamdani's term to be successful. They cannot allow people to believe things can be better. Your job now is to hold the line.

Literally anyone who knows Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan from Star Wars.
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

Inevitably you'll look at the achievements on this hypothetical 15-hour singleplayer game and it'll be like "Complete The Game On Any Difficulty - 20%."

Not long enough for who?
heard on a game podcast just now, that a 15 hour, single player game is maybe not long enough.

We have to get past this idea as developers and audiences.

A game will be, and should be, just as long as it needs to be for *what it is*.

There was a time maybe 15(?) years ago when it did feel like Amazon was taking a chunk of the PC games market. They had a community guy who would post on /r/gaming all the time and they actively counter-programmed and undercut Steam sales and were (I think) relatively successful at it.
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.
