It’s an international crime to murder people based on assumptions.

Rules for international attacks are set by international law, which is primarily established through multilateral treaties like the Geneva Conventions and UN Security Council resolutions. The US violates them.

I think the disconnect here is a false binarisation of the issue: Nuclear weapons everywhere vs. no nuclear weapons anywhere. There's a clear direction that could be followed (multilateral disarmament) to move from where we are currently to where we might like to be.
