Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Seems like a good idea, *so long as* resurfacing is not rushed and is properly checked. I can point to loads of places where patches are left bumpy and broken; a hazard for cyclists.
Utility companies will have to pay a daily fee to Oxfordshire County Council to dig up the county’s roads. The “lane rental scheme”, which already operates in London and other counties, aims to incentivise speedy completion and working at off-peak times.

Looks like this is real. About 40% of the flight at 8k feet, then bumped up to 10k, and then finally went up higher, but only to 20k feet. Much slower than normal flight and likely burned a lot more fuel. But the view out the window was probably impressive.

The Oxford we all know and love.
The 1932 building was built on the site of the Swindlestock Tavern, where the St Scholastica riots of 1354 began. After students complained about the quality of the wine served by a C14th barista, one threw a quart pot at the landlord’s head – who happened to also be the Mayor of Oxford.

*This* is how the left should be talking about Mamdani's fiscal prospects & challenges. Rather than reify private market prices while fetishizing liberal budget-balancing, Weber challenges the political composition of pricing in the first place. Bravo!

The problem lots of people have when thinking about tax (and I suffer from this often) is that we think about (existing) stock rather than (dynamic) flow. That is, we tend to think more about how changes impact people today rather than how they shift incentives in future.
